Situated on the grounds of the award-winning Beaver Area Heritage Museum, the 1802 log house is a center for education where demonstrations of the lifestyle and everyday living conditions faced by typical frontier families in 1802 take place. Filled with authentic furnishings, this restored log house was built of logs hand-cut from local oaks and was originally located at the corner of Buffalo Street and Georgetown Lane. Outside you will find a variety of plantings of native grasses, wildflowers and herbs.
