Old Fort Bedford was a British stockade built in 1758, as a key fortification along the military path Forbes Road, for the successful French and Indian War campaign against the French at Fort Duquesne. The Fort Bedford Museum displays regional Native American artifacts and thousands of household items, which include flintlock rifles, clothing and antique hand tools.
