Divided by grey stone walls built of local stone in the late 1800's, at which time the property was a dairy farm owned by the du Pont family, the 933-acre Brandywine Creek State Park features Delaware's first two nature preserves, Tulip Tree Woods and Freshwater Marsh. A nature center, 14 miles of fitness, wildlife observation and photography trails, and fishing in Brandywine Creek or Wilsons Run are just some of the things offered at Brandywine Creek State Park.
