Eliza Furnace, The (circa 1846) 724-463-7505, Located along the Ghost Town Trail, a ½ mile west of Vintondale, the Eliza Furnace is known as "one of Pennsylvania's best preserved iron furnaces." Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Eliza Furnace is "one of only a few iron furnaces remaining in the United States which still retains its original heat exchanger piping." Though it was only operated for three years, the Eliza Furnace "helped bring the industrial revolution to the Blacklick Valley."
