Owned and operated by the Mauch Chunk Museum, Whitehurst Guest House was originally built as a home for the Quaker founder of the Lehigh Coal & Navigation Company, Josiah White. After two other managers added touches, this home was dismantled and rebuilt into three attached dwellings at its current location in 1885. One of the renovated dwellings was turned into a five-bedroom guest house with individual climate control and private baths. Most rooms have spas and private porches.
