Part of a National Historic Landmark District, Cornwall Iron Furnace is "America’s most complete charcoal fueled ironmaking complex." Originally built by Peter Grubb, Cornwall Furnace is said to be “the only one of America’s hundreds of 19th century charcoal fueled blast furnaces to survive fully intact." Tours are available Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
