Open for public tours every Saturday and Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., from Memorial Day through August, this log cabin replica is found on the location of the first permanent settlement in northwestern Pennsylvania when, on May 12, 1788, David and John Mead camped under a wild cherry tree on the east bank of French Creek.
