Home of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania, the oldest continuously existing fraternal organization in the world, the Masonic Temple is a National Historic Landmark that is across from Philadelphia City Hall. Guided tours of the Temple's seven ornate lodge halls and museum with more than 30,000 items are available. Open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the building's library contains one of the finest collections for the study of Freemasonry with over 75,000 volumes and 30,000 documents, prints, photographs and manuscripts. This includes Benjamin Franklin's 1734 printing of "The Constitutions of the Free-Masons," the first Masonic book printed in America.
