The German Society of Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization that was established in 1794. GSP is devoted to preserving German and German-American contributions to American history and culture. A lending library and a research facility, GSP’s Joseph P. Horner Memorial Library contains over 70,000 volumes. This library is considered the largest private collection of German books in the United States, outside of universities.
