Thought to be one of the oldest structures in Hamburg, this building became a licensed hotel in 1853, at which time it included a tavern, an eating house and an oyster cellar. Reservations are suggested for the American House Hotel Restaurant, a premier dining establishment offering such selections as the Black Angus beef & bean chili, NY strip steak, honey & rum glazed salmon, and pan-seared duck breast.

Had a nightmare of a stay there. They checked me, my wife and 6month old baby in and that night blasted music until 3:30AM. They lied over and over again that the music was stopping in 1/2 hour. What a horrible bunch of people.

oh yea, and the bed was propped up on phone books because the place is slanted.
