The Hans Herr House is the oldest surviving dwelling place of European settlers in present day Lancaster County and the oldest still-standing Mennonite meeting house in the Western Hemisphere. The museum complex also includes three Pennsylvania German farmhouses, a 1920 stone equipment barn, and late 19th and 20th century farming equipment. The Museum, which collects, preserves and interprets artifacts relating to the history, life and faith of Lancaster County Mennonites, is open from April through November, Monday through Saturday from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. A variety of educational and entertaining programs for all ages are held.
