The museum is dedicated to preserving the origins and development history of rotary-wing aircraft in the United States. Over 34 helicopters and 40 exhibits can be traced along this guided tour of the history and future of rotor wing flight. It tells the story of the unique uses and users of these fascinating machines. It displays historically significant rotorcraft, artifacts, reference archives,and has interactive exhibits. Kids can climb aboard and take the controls. Helicopter rides are offered every fourth Saturday of the month.It also has gift shop.
