Located directly behind the Osterhout Free Library in historic downtown Wilkes-Barre, the Luzerne County Museum's permanent exhibits relating to area Native Americans and anthracite mining are housed in a circa 1893 building. Rotating exhibits are offered throughout the year. The Luzerne County Museum is open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Weathervane Gift Shop is open during this time.
