Thought to be the oldest structures in Hamburg, this building became a licensed hotel in 1853, at which time it included a tavern, an eating house and an oyster cellar. Reservations are suggested for the American House Hotel Restaurant, a premier dining establishment offering such selections as the Black Angus beef & bean chili, NY strip steak, honey & rum glazed salmon, and pan-seared duck breast.
