Built by Bishop George Berkeley, this "unusual hip-roofed building with a long, sloping lean-to across the back and a Palladian doorway" is filled with colonial furnishings from the period of 1729-1731, when Berkeley resided here. Its herb garden was designed and is maintained by the Newport Garden Club. The Whitehall Museum House is open to the public July through August, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
