Visit this engineering and architectural masterpiece constructed of local shale and Maine granite to see where the soldiers lived from 1824 to 1950, enter restored casemates to view the Naval War College Museum Exhibit, view the Officers' Quarters, explore the tunnel system, climb the bastions for views of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay, and more. Fort Adams is host to military reenactments, music festivals, classic vehicle shows and more throughout the year. Guided tours are conducted daily, Memorial Day through Columbus Day, every hour on the hour from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
