This National Historic Landmark, a three-story, 20-room Renaissance Revival with Italian Palazzo elements; was for textile merchant Henry Lippitt, his wife and their six children. Several generations of the Lippitt family called this home for over 110 years. The majority of their furnishings still exist in the house. The Governor Henry Lippitt House Museum is open May through October on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Private tours are welcome by appointment throughout the week. The Lippitt House is available for small wedding, events, and meetings.
