The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society's mission "is constituted for the purpose of procuring, collecting, and preserving books, pamphlets, letters, manuscripts, prints, photographs, paintings and any other historical material relating to the history of the Blacks of Rhode Island." The Society's exhibition room on the second floor is open to the public Monday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or by appointment.
