In authentic costume and accompanied by "Captain Bob," the blue and gold macaw, professional storyteller and licensed Charleston tour guide, Eric Lavender, brings to life the pirates, who visited their fair shores. Eric and Captain Bob lead you to the hangouts, "haunts," and final resting places of pirates who made the old walled city of Charles Towne one of their ports-o-call during the "Golden Age of Piracy." Tours meet at the at the Powder Magazine, a National Historic Landmark and part of Charleston's Museum Mile. Admission to the Powder Magazine is included in your tour. October – March Tours begin at 1 p.m. April – September tours begin at 10 a.m. This is a family-friendly tour and is appropriate for all ages.
