Recognized as a world-class environmental institution, this aquarium showcases over 60 exhibits on the numerous animals, plants, and habitats of the five regions of the Appalachian Watershed. It is home to over 10,000 plants and animals including river otters, loggerhead sea turtles, alligators, great blue herons, hawks, sea horses, jellyfish, moray eels, starfish, pythons, sea dragons and sharks. Interpretive programs are presented daily. Numerous events and activities are held throughout the year and a gift shop is on site.
