Named after Lord Anson of England who won the property in a spirited poker game with famous Charlestonian Thomas Gadsden, this charming all suite hotel was once a three story stationer's warehouse and now offers 37 spacious and luxurious suites. All of the suites have antique reproduction furniture, original oil paintings, sleeper sofas, hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, mini-refrigerators, and microwaves. Five of the guest suites have fireplaces and some of the suites have lofts with separate sleeping areas. A deluxe continental breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese that features homemade pimento cheese dip are included.
