Built by Dr. Joshua Fulton Ensor, a major in the Union Army during the Civil War who was sent to Columbia to treat wounded Union soldiers and who served as Superintendent for what is now the South Carolina State Hospital, this beautiful house is a popular rental facility for weddings, parties, reunions, and special events and features beautifully landscaped grounds that contain a scenic pond, fountain, and concrete picnic tables.
