Completed in 1970, its light flashes white every two and a half seconds and helps mark the Inland Waterway and Calibogue Sound. The 90-foot, red-and-white striped tower was the first privately financed lighthouse to be built since the early 1800s and provides an excellent viewpoint of the Island.
