The seven-acre Lexington County Museum's 36 historic structures and furnishings "focus on the early history of Lexington County and interpret the everyday lives of its residents from ca. 1770 until the Civil War." Its exhibits focus on locally-made artifacts, including furniture and quilts. These historic structures include the original Lexington County post office, oldest documented house in Lexington, and the 10-room, two-story circa 1832 John Fox House.
