The oldest and largest sculpture garden in the United States, this spectacular garden is a 9,200-acre National Historic Landmark that features over 900 sculptures, all created by American artists, veiled by centuries-old live oaks and more than 2,000 species of plants. A large covered space for changing exhibitions, garden room for children, learning laboratories, an indoor exhibition hall, auditorium, a cafe, and a gift shop are also located on the grounds. Brookgreen's Lowcountry History and Wildlife Preserve is the only zoo accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association on the coast of the Carolinas.
