This National Historic Landmark house was the home of Edward Rutledge, the youngest signer of the Declaration of Independence. There are 11 uniquely decorated and beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, all with hardwood floors, rich elegant decor, canopy beds, and private marble baths. The Kitchen House Suites are just steps away from the main inn and have separate living rooms, private porches, wet bars, original 1760 fireplaces, and whirlpools. A delicious Southern continental breakfast, Low Country afternoon tea, and evening sherry served in the parlor are included.
