Originally named The Pavilion Hotel, this historic hotel was the hotel that Edgar Allen Poe chose as his weekly retreat while he was a soldier. There are 93 elegantly appointed guest rooms and luxurious suites available, all with period reproduction furniture including poster beds and armoires, 18th century charm, irons, ironing boards, coffee makers, and luxurious bath amenities. Many of the rooms have fireplaces and kitchens. A nightly Manager's Wine and Cheese Reception is held and a beautiful outdoor pool with a sparkling fountain and sundeck is available for guests to enjoy.
