Silver Lake
De Smet, SD
A pothole lake that was formed by the melting of glaciers, Silver Lake was the site of the railroad camp and the Surveyor's Shanty, where the Ingalls lived when they first came to De Smet. Silver Lake is located just east of De Smet.
