Also known as the "Pink Castle," the historic 20-room Pickler Mansion was the home of John A. Pickler, South Dakota's first U.S. Congressman elected from the new state of South Dakota in 1889, and his wife, Alice Alt Pickler, a noted suffragist. Notable guests of the home included Susan B. Anthony, Grover Cleveland and Theodore Roosevelt. Owned and operated by the Faulk County Historical Society, Pickler Mansion is open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day.
