During the summer of 1977, farmers and gardeners participated in a series of Food Fairs in Bristol, Johnson City, and Kingsport in order to discuss the need for alternatives in the food distribution process. A group of these farmers formed the Tri-Cities Farmers' Association for Retail Marketing (F.A.R.M.), a non-profit membership organization. The Farmer's Markets in the TriCity area offer the freshest fruits and vegetables that you can buy anywhere and you can buy them directly from the people that grow them, which is the aim of the TriCities F.A.R.M. organization. Open 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Kingsport.
