Founded in 1916, this museum is the oldest and largest fine arts museum in the state of Tennessee and it houses one of the most outstanding collections of fine art dating from antiquity to the present. The collection includes Italian Renaissance and Boroque paintings and sculptures, English portraits, and European and American paintings, decorative arts, watercolors, prints, and photographs.
