The site of one of the oldest man-made tunnels in the United States, this area contains a seven mile stretch of the Harpeth River that offers many canoe access points and the park includes an ancient Indian ceremonial center and hiking trails. The tunnel at the Narrows is both a National Historical Landmark site and a National Historic Engineering Landmark site.
