Situated on more than 100 acres of native Texas land, the East Texas Arboretum includes formal gardens, the historic circa 1850 Wofford House Museum, historic Discovery Barn, Little Red School House, a replica of an 1870's schoolhouse; a children's play garden, demonstration windmill and pond, bee hives, a bat house and a wooded nature area with more than two miles of naturalistic hiking trails.
