A community-oriented museum, the mission of the Austin Museum of Art is "to challenge and engage the audience with the intellectual and disparate cultural aspects of creativity and art itself." The museum's permanent collection includes 20th century and contemporary paintings, photographs, prints and drawings and a number of changing exhibits explore a diverse range of themes and styles.
