A 3,954 acre coastal barrier island that has a unique and complicated ecosystem, dependent upon sand dunes. Many activities are available at this island park including camping, picnicking, fishing, swimming, hiking, sunbathing, surfing, excellent birding, and mountain biking, as well as five miles of open beach. Interpretive ecological tours are available upon request.
