Opened since 1936, this aquarium is home to a diverse collection of thousands of aquatic animals including marine and freshwater fish, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. It is a leader in breeding critically endangered Texas species and has special attractions including daily animal feedings and educational tours, the Amazon Flooded Forest exhibit, and the Word of Aquatic Diversity which displays unusual adaptations of saltwater and freshwater species.
