With over 2,500 species of plants, and twenty-one specialty gardens, the Fort Worth Botanical Garden is situated on one hundred nine lush acres that offer vibrant colours amidst the mesmerizing interplay of dappled light and shade. This is the oldest botanical garden in Texas, with a mission of enhancing the appreciation of the beauty represented by its multifarious flora, as well as increasing understanding of the world of plants through education. The types of gardens offered include rose gardens, perennial gardens, fragrance gardens, a four-seasons garden, a Japanese garden, and more. In addition, the Botanical Garden is an ideal place for meetings, events, weddings and children's activities, and includes a gift shop and a restaurant.
