The 6,469-acre Joe Pool Lake is located four miles south of Grand Prairie on Mountain Creek, a tributary of the Trinity River, in Tarrant, Ellis and Dallas Counties. Fish found here include largemouth bass, white bass, white crappie, and channel catfish. A full-service marina is available. The 791-acre, 221-site Loyd Park is located on the northwest side of Joe Pool Lake, east of SH 360 off Ragland Road.
