An area history museum that focuses on "Life in the East Texas Oil Field," and presents an annual living history education program the first Wednesday in October, to coincide with the discovery date of oil, October 3, 1930. The museum is 2.2 miles from East Texas Oil Field's Discovery Well, the Daisy Bradford #3 - which was the beginning of the "largest oilfield in the world." An oil field "tent house" converted to a permanent dwelling, with original furnishings is on site and open for public viewing. Also on site is a 1931 Dixie Service Station and a 1940's road side cafe, and White's Snack Shop building, which presently houses the museum.
