It is one of the oldest Baptist churches in Texas, organized on September 16, 1844. One of the most famous members of the church was General Sam Houston and his wife, Margaret. Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:50 a.m., and Sunday Evening Worship at 6:00 p.m.
