Covering 825,000 acres, this ranch is the "birthplace of the American ranching industry" and is a National Historic Landmark. The only two registered cattle breeds developed in the United States were founded by this ranch. Guided tours are available that allow you to see the Santa Gertrudis and King Ranch Santa Cruz breeds of beef cattle, as well as famous quarter horses.
