A Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, this authentic turn-of-the-century home, built by J.O. Sims, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This two-story home, made of prime native pine with a finished attic, balustrade porches, five fireplaces, and a slate roof, is filled with period furnishings, artifacts, and early Texas history rotation exhibits that depict the typical upper-middle-class home from the turn-of-the-century through the 1940's.
