The Texas Air Museum traces the history of aviation from the early days of its inception to the present day. This museum features the early aviation history of San Antonio, including Katherine Stinson's original engine on a replica of a 1914 Bleriot type aircraft. Also on display is a 1927 Waco 10 with an OX-6 engine, a WWII German Focke-Wulf 190, F4 Phantom, F101 VooDoo, 1940 Bucker Jungemeister, an AVRO tri-plane, a Piepenpohl Air Camper, and numerous artifacts from WWI to the present. All of this is displayed in approximately 30,000 square feet of display space. The Texas Air Museum is open 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
