A private, co-educational Baptist institution, Baylor University is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas and accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is the largest Baptist university in the world and the oldest institution of higher learning in continuous operation in the Texas. The University offers 146 baccalaureate degree programs at the undergraduate level, 73 master's and 22 doctoral programs, two educational specialists, a juris doctor, master of divinity, and a doctor of ministry.
