Home of Revolutionary War patriot William Preston, this historic home, designed in the tidewater plantation style, provided a haven of aristocratic elegance and became the social and political center of this backcountry area. A beautiful garden, enclosed by a weathered paling fence typical of the era, is also on the property, as well as a museum store.
