One of the busiest parks in Charlottesville, this seven plus acre park was named in honor of Benjamin Tonsler, a local African American educator during segregation. It contains tennis courts, a life-size chess board, a recreation center, lighted basketball courts, softball and soccer fields, and an extensive children's playground.
