I used to like Bang! However, I went to BANG! last night for dinner with 7 friends. One friend brought cupcakes for another friend's birthday. After spending over $200.00 in food and alcohol the waitress informed us that she would charge us a $2.00 plate fee for each person (despite not needing additional plates or utensils) if we so much as opened our box and ate our cupcakes. I will NEVER go back! I Lived in Charlottesville over 18 years and go out to eat several times a month. Over the years I've brought cake/cupcakes to celebrate birthdays with friends and family so I can say for certain that BANG is one of very few restaurants in Charlottesville that charges a cake plate fee.
