A 48 acre "natural classroom" whose primary objective is to promote horticulture and environmental awareness and which features one of Virginia’s finest trail systems meandering through a mature hardwood forest with many varieties of native plants and trees. The Arboretum headquarters is an historic circa 1730 farmhouse, complete with theme gardens that include fragrance and antique rose gardens.
