One of the area's premier destinations for golfers, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts, seven miles by ten miles at its widest and longest points; Primland's Lodge at Primland features 26 suites, a state-of-the-art spa, golf shop, dining room, recreation room and a ballroom for events and meetings. Located along ridges and tucked into hillsides, Primland's mountain cabins include well-appointed, spacious rooms, high-speed Internet access and fully-equipped kitchens. Fairway Cottages provide elegant accommodations and fantastic views near the 10th and 18th fairways of the Highland Course. Designed by Donald Steel, the challenging public Highland Course plays across ridge-tops and over valleys. Upland hunts are offered from September through April, seven days a week in half-day segments. Deer hunting is offered during Virginia's early muzzle-loading and general firearms seasons, which occur in November and early December. Guided hunts are offered April through mid-May. Sporting clay, fishing, mountain biking, and horseback riding are other activities enjoyed by guests.
