Situated in the Old Town Hall and Market House which was originally constructed in 1816, the story of Fredericksburg's rich and varied past is presented in this museum's six permanent exhibit galleries. Exhibits cover time spans from pre-historic times, through the Indian and Colonial settlement, the Revolutionary and Federal eras, the Civil War, and Reconstruction, to 20th century days.
